This highly experiential student leadership development intensive is intended to give an overview of team leadership skills to provide a foundation for students to lead future Interprofessional Collaborative Practice (IPCP) teams. This course is divided into three separate one-day sessions (Saturdays from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM) to be held during the spring academic semester. Students must attend all three sessions to receive reimbursement. Expert faculty will teach participants skills you need to be an effective leader of an interprofessional team, including:
- Getting to know one’s self as an IPCP leader.
- Develop effective interprofessional relationships to enhance team success.
- IPCP Teams’ impact on the quality of care for vulnerable populations.
- Leading teams effectively.
This seminar is open to all PROVIDER students pursuing their professional degrees. It will be held over three Saturdays. The cost of the program is covered by a grant from the HRSA Primary Care Training and Enhancement program.
