WINN New Graduate Nurse Residency Program – Mentor Training

Mentoring is a deliberate, developmental relationship where a more experienced, more skilled nurse nurtures the professional and developmental growth of a less experienced, less knowledgeable nurse. This series offers fundamental skills for clinicians interested in inspiring, guiding and supporting new graduate nurses.

Series-Level Learning Objectives:
• Identify the important role of mentors in nursing
• Develop resiliency and healthy boundaries practices
• Implement effective communication and conflict resolution strategies
• Recognize the power of questions in mentoring relationships
• Discuss the impact of cultivating a growth mindset

Clinical professionals (e.g., RN, ADN, BSN, APRN, etc.) with an interest in mentorship are encouraged to participate. Please note this Mentor Training Series will be held in a virtual setting via Zoom. To ensure you receive the most impact from this program, please have one device (computer/tablet/smartphone) with a camera for each attendee, and a quiet place to participate.
